Imam Shafi said, "People did not become ignorant nor differed except after their abandonment of the language of the Arabs ( Arabic ) and their inclination to the language of Aristoteles!" al-Dhahabi, Siyar A'lam al-Nubala 10:74 and al-Suyuti in Sawn al-Mantiq
